Orbit Downloader 2.8.2 is released.
In this version, we improved our ability to download RTMP protocol videos deeply, and we support Google Chrome now.
* Add: Integrate Orbit Downloader support Google Chrome

As with the last few releases, if you have Firefox open, launch Orbit, then launch Grab, Firefox crashes (presently, Firefox 3.0.5). As described in posts in the Forum, if Grab is open before attempting to launch Firefox, Firefox will crash before loading completely. In short, the important Grab component of Orbit Downloader is incompatible with Firefox. One of the 2.7.x releases was the last to work with Firefox. Prior versions of Orbit Downloader are not available from the Orbit Downloader website, so you might get stuck without a fully-working version if you "try" a new release without have backup.
Please, once for all, fix this annoying crash bug simply recompiling the activeX plugin with MS ATL library 7.1+!

Hello,
Starting with Orbit Downloader 2.8.x, this software started to be annoying.
I was installing this software to all of my customers, but I won't do it again.
Reasons for this are:
- Forcing user to use Orbit Search Provider, without asking.
- No uninstallation option for Grab Pro toolbar.
- Automatic startup without caring user's selection at setup.
- Daily updates. A software should provide small bug fixes with a major version. I do not want to see "A new version" popup every time I use Orbit.
- A bug still exists which makes previously downloaded file deleted, if the file name is same.
I'm now using Free Download Manager. Thank you for this crap ware.
